The Safehouse Atelier

Located in San Francisco, The Safehouse Atelier is a place created by artists who believe that there should be no separation between commercial artists and fine artists. Both must draw on the same techniques and ideas in order to make images that affect the viewer in a powerful way. In this environment artists are trained to be versatile. Using both traditional and digital media, students learn observational skills, composition, anatomy, and idea development. Focusing on the ultimate goals of the student, foundations are emphasized with the curriculum tailored to fit the individual. Students receive a well rounded education giving them the tools to employ their art no matter what the application.
